Bulldog Jarrad Grant may be finding his feet on and off the field but he's still looking to improve.

The Western Bulldogs and VFL affiliate Williamstown have enjoyed a good start to the year. It’s been exciting to be a part of. But despite this early form everyone here remains focused on the job at hand. Concentrating on our next game is the major focus for the group.

At the moment I’m averaging two goals a game for Williamstown in the seniors. While that’s not bad, there are a couple of aspects of my game I’m trying to improve.

Of course I would like to kick more goals; every forward wants to do that. It’s my possession rate that I’m trying to improve on so I can be more value to the team. The way I see it, if I can get more touches then that will give me a chance to kick more goals. Hopefully.

When I’m not training or playing I try to relax as much as possible. I am a big sleeper so when I get the chance I enjoy a sleep in. I also like to travel back to Dandenong to visit family and friends. They have played a big part in my life and I like to keep up to date with what’s going on.

When I’m not at the Club I spend some of my time with fellow first year players Guy O’Keefe and Sam Reid. They have both become good mates. I guess there has been a common bond amongst all of the players who were drafted last year.

In saying that, everyone here gets on really well. I believe that says a lot about why we are playing well at the moment. Hopefully we can keep that going with a couple of wins this weekend.
