GREATER Western Sydney unveiled the uniforms it will wear for its home games in Canberra on Thursday, which include an image of the city's Black Mountain Tower.
The club held a competition asking locals to enter designs for the jumper the Giants will don at Manuka Oval, where the AFL's newest club will play three matches in 2012.
The winning design, submitted by John Gerrard, has the Giants' traditional charcoal, orange and white colours and the large 'G' on the front, with an image of Black Mountain Tower next to it.
Rising 195m above the summit of Black Mountain, the tower has 360-degree views of Canberra and is one of the city's most iconic structures.
Canberra-born GWS defender Phil Davis presented the jumper to Gerrard and ACT Sports Minister Andrew Barr on Thursday.
"The Giants are really looking forward to playing in Canberra next year," Davis said.
"And for local born players like myself and Josh Bruce it will be a real highlight to play at Manuka Oval."
GWS will face the Western Bulldogs, Gold Coast and Melbourne in its three home matches in Canberra in its inaugural season in the AFL.
