MELBOURNE has boosted its chances of long-term success with four players re-signing with the club and Jack Grimes extending his current contract.

Nathan Jones, who had been the subject of trade talk in recent weeks, is among those to put pen to paper and end speculation about his future with the club.

Jones, Brent Moloney, Clint Bartram and promising youngster Sam Blease have all re-signed with the Demons for a further two seasons.

Grimes has extended his stay in the red and blue, ensuring he will be out of the clutches of Greater Western Sydney next year.

Grimes was contracted until the end of 2011 but extended his deal for another two seasons, meaning he is now contracted until the end of 2013.
