This is the second time the St Kilda forward has been selected in the IRS squad; the first was in 2002.
The IRS selection caps off an outstanding year for Stephen who was named an All Australian and was the Club's top goal kicker in 2011 with 55 goals.
Stephen also broke Matthew Lloyd's goal kicking record at Etihad Stadium in 2011 and came fifth in the Club's Best & Fairest.
The St Kilda Number 44, now sits fourth on the Club's all-time goal kicking list, behind Tony Lockett, Bill Mohr and Stewart Loewe.
The first Test will be played at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on Friday October 28, with the second Test played at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast on Friday November 4.
Stephen will join the rest of the squad in Melbourne next week to start preparation for the series before travelling to the Gold Coast on Sunday October 30.
