MICHAEL Voss, Mark Harvey and Nathan Bassett are "part of the discussion" as West Coast looks to finalise its coaching structure under Adam Simpson.

The Eagles believe they will set up their 2014 coaching department within the next two weeks after they appointed Simpson to the senior job earlier this month.

They have also recently secured Brady Rawlings as an assistant coach and Jaymie Graham as a development coach while Scott Burns has moved on to Collingwood.

Football operations manager Craig Vozzo said the finalisation of the department was imminent and Voss and Harvey were "certainly part of the discussion".

"I reckon it's about a week or so away," Vozzo told 6PR on Tuesday night.

"We're a fair way down the track through that process but there's still a few balls to fall so I reckon about a week, possibly two."

Dual Norwood premiership coach Nathan Bassett is also in the Eagles' calculations, although the former Adelaide defender has been linked to Essendon.

Vozzo acknowledged the Eagles' current coaching panel was young but said AFL experience wasn't a necessity when it came to appointments.

"Talking to Adam about this a while back, I think [Alastair] Clarkson started at Hawthorn at about a similar age with a pretty young team around him; I think [Damien] Hardwick and Ross Smith and one other," he said.

"If we end up going that way, that doesn't scare us either.

"We're confident we'll get the right people."
