IT'S ONE of the best weeks in AFL Fantasy – 12 players have received an extra position and immediately boosted their worth in the game.

This is Fantasy’s version of free money. Players can only add a position, so if you’ve got any of these 12 in your squad already, you're in clover.

Top of the pile is a man who is nicely priced after a rare shocker last week against the Cats.

Robbie Gray (MID/FWD, $517,000) adds forward status but with a breakeven this week of 144 against the Tigers, you might be able to snap him up next week for under $500,000.

Gray started last year as a MID/FWD and after five rounds this year he has six more disposals inside 50 than any other Power player, making him a lock to become dual-position again.

Teammate Aaron Young (MID/FWD, $311,000) also picks up forward status after notching three-quarters of his disposals in the front half in the Power's first five games.

Some of the best cash cows become more valuable this week with Gold Coast's Ryan Davis (MID/FWD, $212,000) and Swan George Hewett (MID/FWD, $243,000) picking up forward status.

Suns swingman Clay Cameron (DEF/FWD, $263,000) has been forced back into defence with the recent injury to Rory Thompson and Steven May's suspension, but had previously gone forward in every game and made plenty of cash for those who pounced on him in round one. He adds FWD status for round six.

Bernie Vince (DEF/MID, $516,000) becomes a worthy Fantasy option after 102 points against Richmond, recording a quarter of his disposals inside defensive 50, a career-high and seeing him add DEF status.

Reliable Bomber James Kelly (DEF/MID, $508,000) has been playing the 'quarterback' role for the Dons this year and adds DEF status this week after recording 35 per cent of his disposals in the defensive 50 this year.

So whether you trade them in or move them around your squad, take advantage of this gift from the Fantasy gods, and look forward to more dual-position additions in round 12.

Get 'em in

Daniel Menzel (FWD, $317,000): A nice mid-priced forward option, Menzel’s scoring well in a winning team and his breakeven is just 20 this week. Great to see him fit and firing.

Rory Atkins (MID, $298,000): Winning plenty of the ball for the surging Crows and worth the final spot on your field to bring in some cash.

Mason Cox (FWD/RUC, $143,000): Will be one of the most traded-in players this week, if only to sit on everyone’s bench and rake in the American dollars. Shame the US exchange rate doesn’t apply in Fantasy.

Bye for now

Nat Fyfe (MID, $551,000): Return date unknown and his team in permanent decline. Swap for Steele Sidebottom ASAP.

Chad Wingard (FWD, $410,000): Delayed concussion means he is unlikely to face the Tigers in a battle of the 2016 disappointments.

Matt Suckling (DEF/FWD, $431,000): Another Dog down, and while he hasn’t done his ACL again, the ex-Hawk might be on the sidelines for a while.
