STAR Swan Dan Hannebery has stormed home to claim the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year award from Fremantle's Nat Fyfe.
The Docker held a six-vote lead heading into the final round, but he did not play due to injury and Hannebery was awarded seven votes for his excellent game against Gold Coast.
Every round the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game. The coaches vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5.
The maximum a player can score is 10 (with five votes from both coaches).
