STEFAN Martin is back and ready for football. But he's not ready for a tattoo.
Due to the suspension of play because of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Brisbane ruckman won't miss a game despite suffering a tear to his PCL in round one.
Initially, the veteran Lion thought the feat would be worthy of being inked on his body. But, having recovered in time to meet the Dockers on June 13, he's now having second thoughts.
"I said to a few people that I'd get the tattoo if I don't miss a game," Martin laughed.

"I won't, because I'm a coward. But it's something fun to say.
"It would've just said: 'Didn't miss a game due to PCL'. Something like that."
Martin was in a brace for six weeks due to the injury sustained in the club's round one loss to Hawthorn, but has recovered in time to re-join the main group for full-contact training.
He said the challenge of rehabilitating in time to play again when footy resumed was enough motivation to get him through the gruelling coronavirus shutdown period.

"I saw it as very fortuitous that we had this break right now," Martin said.
"I thought 'why not?' Those kinds of challenges excite me, especially being away from the group. You can lock in and do some work that people aren't seeing. The excitement of then putting that out on the field is really cool."
