Frampton appears to bump Hartigan after a goal before they engaged in a wrestle that required assistances from several players.
The session was the Crows' last physical hitout before facing crosstown rivals Port Adelaide on Saturday night.
Ruck/forward Frampton crossed from the Power to the Crows last October and became the sixth player to have played for both clubs when he was unveiled in the round one loss to Sydney.
Hartigan missed senior selection after battling an ankle injury during pre-season.
