ST KILDA has finalised its 2015 coaching panel, appointing former Carlton player and ex-Casey mentor Rohan Welsh as a defensive assistant.
The 44-year-old played 43 games for the Blues between 1992 and 1997, including the 1993 Grand Final.
He began his coaching career with the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup from 2001–2004 before crossing to the Oakleigh Chargers from 2005–2008.
After a stint as coach of Vic Metro at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships from 2009–2012, Welsh then took charge of the Casey Scorpions in the VFL.
The Saints said Welsh would work closely with part-time specialist defensive coach Danny Frawley.
