BOTH sides enter the 40th Western Derby in winning form. The Dockers have won five straight and are motoring towards another significant September campaign. The Eagles have won their last two after losing seven of their previous eight. Fremantle has had the wood on West Coast recently. The Dockers have won the last four clashes between the two sides by an average of 35 points, and 11 of the past 14 derbies overall. Although West Coast sits 10th on the ladder the Eagles do possess some potency up forward. The Eagles are the sixth best attacking team in the competition, two places higher than Fremantle, but the Dockers have easily the best defence in the AFL and kept the Lions to just three goals last Saturday.
