CARLTON draftee Blaine Boekhorst might have some explaining to do when he rocks up to his first day at Visy Park.
Like many of us, the 21-year-old from Swan Districts likes to watch footy and to tweet about it at the same time.
But this tweet during Carlton's dreadful round seven loss to Collingwood this year may yet come to haunt him, although he has since deleted it.
Now, Boekhorst would have had next to no idea when he sent out that tweet that he would be part of the Carlton Football Club barely six months later, but credit him for some quick fence-building, again on Twitter shortly after being selected by the Blues.
Ecstatic to be joining the @CarltonFC . Love seeing them succeed and hate seeing the downside! Always followed them closely!
Boekhurst can still expect an interesting reception from coach Mick Malthouse and the players (those who are still there) when he lobs at the club some time next week.
And an appointment with Carlton's social media manager will likely not be too far behind.
