Every Richmond player rated after the first elimination final
Jake Batchelor – 1
Had a dirty day. Substituted out of the game in the third term with just one kick and one handball to his name. Played on a variety of opponents including Angus Monfries and Jake Neade and had almost no impact.
Troy Chaplin – 3
A tough day at the office against his former team. Spent the majority of the game on former teammate Justin Westhoff, who had 18 of his 21 possessions and kicked both of his goals on Chaplin.
Reece Conca – 5
Tried hard all day and at least gave Richmond some drive, finishing with a team-high five inside 50s. Kicked Richmond's first goal after Port had kicked the first seven.
Trent Cotchin – 4
The Tigers skipper never gave up but he well and truly lowered his colours to Port stopper Kane Cornes. Cotchin finished with 16 possessions and a team-high six clearances, but his frustration at his inability to break Cornes' tag boiled over late in the game when he gave away an undisciplined free kick.
The vice-captain kept fighting to the final siren and was one of the Tigers' better performers. He had an equal team-high 29 possessions, but did not have anywhere near his usual influence.
Shane Edwards – 3
Edwards had an outstanding 2014 season but ended it with a lacklustre performance against the Power. Struggled to have an influence in the midfield or on the forward line, but kicked a consolation goal in the dying minutes of the game.
Brandon Ellis – 4
Struggled to get into the game early, but kept plugging away to finish with 20 possessions. Had four rebound 50s, but did not give the Tigers his usual damaging counter-attack.
Nathan Foley – 4
The Tiger speedster played just 55 per cent of the match after suffering a nose injury. In that time he had 11 possessions and two inside 50s, but little influence.
Nathan Gordon – 5
Kicked two goals in the second half when the game was over, but was a credible performer given how tough life was in the Richmond forward 50. Took six marks and had four inside 50s.
Largely ineffective, the big man was unable to give the Tigers the secondary target they needed in attack. Kicked a consolation goal in the dying seconds of the game, but well beaten by Jackson Trengove.
Shaun Grigg – 4
Spent time on Travis Boak but could not curb the Port skipper's influence. Did better when opposed to Chad Wingard and kicked a second-quarter goal. Finished with 20 possessions.
Dylan Grimes – 5
Battled hard against the odds and conceded just one goal to his direct opponents, who included Hamish Hartlett, Jake Neade and Chad Wingard. Had 17 possessions and took eight marks.
Bachar Houli – 6
Tried valiantly to stop the avalanche in the first term across half-back, and took the game on when the Tigers needed some run. Finished with 27 possessions and did not concede a goal against a range of direct opponents.
Ivan Maric – 6
Won the ruck battle with Matthew Lobbe, finishing with 11 possessions and four marks to the Port player's five possessions and one mark. Also kicked a second-quarter goal.

Dustin Martin – 5
This might seem a tough mark given Martin had an equal team-high 29 possessions, but the star Tiger had little influence on the game. Had four inside 50s and one goal assist.
Anthony Miles – 5
Miles was one of the Tigers' better players, but was powerless to stop the Power's midfield dominance. He capped off an excellent first season at Punt Road with 24 possessions and four clearances.
Steven Morris – 4
A typically hard-nosed performance but, like most of the Richmond defenders, struggled under the weight of Power inside 50s. Spent time on Jake Neade, Chad Wingard and Robbie Gray.
Chris Newman – 4
Struggled under the weight of forward 50 entries Port gave its forwards. Played on opponents including Angus Monfries, Jake Neade and Matt White and conceded four goals.
Ricky Petterd – 3
Started as the Tigers' substitute and replaced Jake Batchelor midway through the third term. Toiled hard in defence and had three rebound 50s.
Alex Rance – 7
One of the few Tigers who could hold his head high. Given Port's dominance, keeping Schulz to two goals was a highly credible performance, while he also had 17 possessions and took seven marks.
Jack Riewoldt – 6
All of his three goals came after half-time when the game was already over, but the fact Riewoldt never stopped trying was a tick in itself. A tough day at the office given he had Alipate Carlile by his side and poor delivery most of the day.
Nick Vlastuin – 4
A learning experience for the young Tiger who finished with a disposal efficiency rate of 46 per cent. His second-quarter turnover set up an Angus Monfries goal after half-time siren.
