AFL Chief Executive Gillon McLachlan today said he was pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Lukin as the AFL’s Head of Corporate Affairs.
Elizabeth Lukin is currently the Director of Essential Media Communications (EMC), a communications agency that works across research, public affairs management, campaigns and media relations. She will join the AFL early next year on February 1.
During her past 15 years with EMC, Elizabeth has worked for a diverse range of organisations and also regularly consulted to the AFL on a range of issues. As well as previously providing advice to the AFL, she has also worked with the AFL Players’ Association, the West Coast Eagles FC, the Gold Coast Suns FC, the Essendon FC and the St Kilda FC.
“I am delighted that Elizabeth will head our Corporate Affairs Department, as she is well known within our industry across the AFL competition for the quality of her work,” Mr McLachlan said.
“Her background and experience in communications, issues management and research, combined with her AFL industry experience, made her the best candidate to lead our team and I look forward to welcoming her in the new year,” he said.
