COLLINGWOOD looks likely to be without tall forward pair Anthony Rocca and Ben Reid for an extended period, with both players suffering potentially serious foot injuries in the Pies' 10-point loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Rocca, playing his first game since round nine, looks to have aggravated an earlier ankle injury.

Coach Mick Malthouse "would not guess" how many games Rocca will miss, as the Pies prepare for their mid-season break before facing the Swans in a fortnight's time.

Rocca was on crutches in the rooms after the match, avoiding putting weight on the injured foot.

Reid, 19, also looks set for a lengthy layoff after suffering a suspected broken foot in the first half of the match.

"Both boys have come off not too good," Malthouse said after the game.

"We'll have to wait and see. I'm not going to start making predictions. Neither will be available next week, I would imagine.

"It's roughly where the screw went into [Rocca's] ankle after the last operation. That's where he's sore, and Ben looks like he may have broken his foot.

"[With Rocca], we'll have something far more substantial tomorrow or on Tuesday, and then we can talk about it instead of guessing."
