Balme said he had full confidence in the methods and procedures carried out by Robinson in his four years at the club between 2007-2010.
"He’s a fine person, I’m not sure what he’s guilty of or supposedly guilty of at Essendon," Balme told Crocmedia’s Sportsday on Wednesday night.
"By association, there’s a suggestion the AFL or someone is going to have a look at us and see what happened when he was down our way.
"That hasn’t as yet happened. I think that probably will happen, and we’re more than happy for it to happen, but we probably do need some indication as to what they’re looking for, why they are and suggestions in what they’re looking for.
"That’s been very slim in coming forward.
"In my view there’s zero hope of them finding anything he didn’t do properly."
Robinson, the controversial strength and fitness expert, joined the Bombers in late 2011 with the mandate to build up the bodies of the young Dons.
However, a spate of soft-tissue injuries dogged the club in the past two seasons.
He was then stood down by Essendon pending the outcome of the AFL-ASADA investigation into the club's supplement use.
Meanwhile, Balme laughed off suggestions he would return to Richmond, where he made a name for himself as a player, to replace outgoing football manager Craig Cameron.
"I’m in the Melbourne area at the minute (residence) but I am at Geelong (club) and I reckon both of those things will remain the same," he said.
