THE SIX POINTS
1. History was made in round seven last year when the Giants slammed through 5.3 to just two behinds in the fourth quarter to steamroll a stunned Gold Coast side and secure their first ever AFL victory.
2. GWS ruckman Jonathan Giles' 21 touches and three goals earned him three Brownlow votes from that game. The Suns hit back in the return bout in round 20, winning by 30 points, with Brandon Matera taking the three Brownlow votes.
3. The Giants will need to clamp down defensively if they are to prevail in this match. So far they have conceded an average of 131 points per game, compared to 97 for the Suns.
4. GWS has at least been able to get its hands on the football at times, ranked a lofty fourth in the AFL for centre clearances. Gold Coast is ranked 14th. Second quarters are also an issue for the Suns, kicking just three goals to their opponents' 20 through four matches.
5. This will be the 31st AFL match held at Manuka Oval. The highest attendance was 14,922 when North Melbourne faced the Swans in 2006. GWS attracted 11,092 for its round three game against the Saints this year.
6. The Giants are the fourth team to host home games at the ACT stadium. The Kangaroos, Western Bulldogs and Melbourne have also played home games at the ground.
