PATRICK Dangerfield has strengthened his claim as one of the fastest players in the competition by setting a new 40m sprint record at Adelaide training.
The Crows were tested over a number of distances on Monday and Dangerfield, a three-time Grand Final sprint winner, posted the best time over each.
Dangerfield was recently rated by world-leading physiologist Martin Buchheit as the club's standout athlete.
Rookie-listed ruckman Jack Osborn also impressed, finishing second in the 40m sprint, despite his 205cm, 105kg frame.
Defenders Luke Brown and Luke Thompson came in third and fourth and new recruit Charlie Cameron was fifth.
Adelaide players are being put through their toughest week of pre-season training this week before they break for Christmas.

Coach Brenton Sanderson is keen to have the players run up to 50km by the end of the week as they prepare for next year's interchange cap, which will restrict the amount of rest players can take during games.
