Every Port player rated from Saturday night's elimination final
We run the rule over the Power players after they downed the Pies
Matthew Broadbent – 5
Soundly beaten by Dane Swan in the third term in what could have been a match-winning burst by the Pies' superstar, but regained his composure. Not his best night but continued to urge his teammates on and do the percentage things. Had a game-high seven defensive rebounds.
Travis Boak – 5
The Power captain was largely tagged out of the contest by Brent Macaffer but still contributed two important, albeit easy, goals including the one that put Port back in front in the last quarter.
Alipate Carlile – 9
The full-back performed a superb job on Travis Cloke, restricting the Pies' chief forward to just two goals and one mark inside 50. Matched Cloke for strength and used his body expertly.
Domenic Cassisi – 8
In a critical duel, the former skipper limited the output and influence of Pies playmaker Scott Pendlebury. Didn't win much of the ball himself but he certainly holstered one of the opposition's guns.
Perhaps the only Power player to be overawed by the occasion. Turned the ball over too often and was subbed off on the third term. A rare highlight was a long pass to an unattended Wingard for a goal in the second term. Also tweaked a hamstring.
Kane Cornes – 8
The Power veteran had an enthralling contest with Steele Sidebottom and probably shared the honours. A team-high 28 touches and backed himself at key moments to direct the ball through the corridor by foot.
Brad Ebert – 8
His kicking efficiency was down early but his obvious assets – ball-winning ability, outside run and sheer persistence – made him one of Port's strongest contributors. Missed from point-blank range in the second term when a goal would have extended the margin to five majors.
Robbie Gray – 4
A quiet night for the small forward but on several occasions he inspired his teammates by attacking the ball like there was no tomorrow.
Clearly favoured the left shoulder injury that sidelined him for the last two rounds, and it even seemed to play on his mind at times as he entered contests, making his 21-touch game a courageous effort.
Tom Jonas – 8
The courageous defender proved a stumbling block for the Pies, taking four intercept marks in the first term alone as he regularly left his opponent to become an influential third man in aerial contests involving the likes of Cloke and Ben Reid.
Matthew Lobbe – 7
The young ruckman handed Pies prodigy Brodie Grundy perhaps his first defeat with his effectiveness at stoppages and work around the ground. A smart tap into the path of Boak put the Power in front in last quarter. Also made a crucial spoil in the second term that prevented a goal.
Tom Logan – 8
The gutsy left-footer ignored a sore right thumb to play the game of his life, with his fierceness in the contest and composure with the ball giving his team great impetus.
Angus Monfries – 6
An ever-present danger, Monfries antagonised Shaw into giving away a free kick and an easy goal to inject the Power with a surge in momentum in the second quarter. Missed a shot in the last quarter trying to imitate Steve Johnson's across-the-body style when he probably should have kicked a regulation drop punt.
Andrew Moore – 6
Battled hard all night and was unlucky not to be paid a mark at the top of the goal square in the second term when a goal would have put Port five goals up. Laid a great tackle on Steele Sidebottom in last quarter to earn a free kick.
Cameron O'Shea – 6
Had 25 touches – the second-most for Port – including 22 uncontested, and always provided an option moving the ball out of defence. Took a game-high 14 uncontested marks. Spent some time on Elliott, who was subbed off in the third term.
Jasper Pittard – 6
Did his job in the back half and claimed a well-judged pack mark in the dying minutes that resulted in the match-sealing goal to Chad Wingard. Pumped the ball inside 50 on a team-high five occasions.
Jay Schulz – 7
Great early and again late to finish with an equal game-high three goals. Could have bagged five or six if not for a few uncharacteristic misses. Took a skyscraping chest mark early in the second term for his second goal, which put Port four goals up.
Jackson Trengove – 5
Provided ruck support for Lobbe and did his bit by giving a strong contest. A useful contribution given his ability to play a variety of roles.
Justin Westhoff – 5
A quiet night for the tall utility, but against the flow of play he kicked the first goal of the game – a superb individual effort that involved a contested mark, handball off, handball receive and a composed left-foot snap. Took a game-high four contested grabs.
Chad Wingard – 8
The classy youngster once again enhanced his already huge reputation with a 19-disposal, three-goal game that featured genuine coolness in key moments. His passing and kicking to position was laser-like. When Port was under siege in the third term he drilled a goal from outside 50 to level the scores.
Oliver Wines – 7
The strong-bodied first-year player also reinforced the consensus view that he too has an enormous future, slotting two great goals in the second half – one from outside 50 to put Port back in front late in the third term, and a brilliant snap to extend the margin to 10 points late in the last. Spent time on Swan around the stoppages.
Aaron Young – 6
The substitute came on late in the third term and gave the Power great run, amassing 13 disposals in limited game time.
