Match Day activities and entertainment
It’s ‘Kids day’ at the footy this Saturday, with all junior members and supporters urged to come along to the footy and watch the Crows battle Carlton and look to cement a place in the top eight.
Thanks to the Crows 2008 Match Day Entertainment Sponsor, Brooksy’s Good Guys at Mile End, kids can get into the spirit of the day by having their face painted in Crows colours. The face painters will be set up adjacent to CROWmania between 12.30pm – 2.30pm and one lucky child will who gets their face painted will be chosen at random to win a Samsung 8GB Mp3 players thanks to Brooksy’s Good Guys Mile End. Keep an eye out for the clowns and other children’s entertainment that will be roaming around the stadium before the match.
Thanks to the home match sponsor, Crows Home Loan, one lucky child will win a once in a lifetime opportunity to toss the coin at the game, just by taking part in the handball competition between 1.30pm - 2.00pm. The handball competitions will be conducted right next to the Crows Home Loan Jumping Castle which will set up next to Gate 3.
On ground (weather permitting), the Crows Home Loan Toyota Yaris’ will drive around the oval pre-match giving away Crows Home Loan footballs, St Michaels College students will take part in the Balfours Scratch Match and it’s heat number two of the Foodland Kick For A Camry featuring 1997 Premiership heroes Troy Bond, Rod Jameson and Ben Hart. Also keep an eye out for the 22 lucky junior mascots who will run out with the team before the game, thanks to Foodland who are proud sponsors of the ‘Foodland Mascot for a Day’.
Crows Shed
Cost: Free before the game and $2 after the game with kids under 15 free and Gold Members Free.
Opening times: Shed opens 12.30pm. Closed while game is on and re-opens at 5.00pm.
Before the game: Happy hour including everything $5 from 12.30pm - 2.30pm, a replay of the last time they met on the Big Screen, background music, food available thanks to the Supporter Group BBQ, Squid Inc, Churros, Kalmynos Pastries & Cappuccino Queen.
After the Game: Live Band "Rhon & Polly" will play at 5.30pm until 6.30pm, 1 Coach and 3 Player interviews about an hour after the game, raffle prize of signed and framed 2008 squad jumper, tickets are only $2. All you have to do is fill out a mistral/Carlton Draught B.O.G form, write who you think was best on ground and win some fantastic prizes. Replay of the game will be played from 5.20pm.
