"That's pretty sad, pretty shocking," Hannebery told AFL.com.au on Friday night as details of the incident emerged.
"The person who did that has to have a hard look at themselves.
"It is a disgrace considering the era that we're in. It's just completely unacceptable.
"I'm really shocked."
While Swans players rallied around Goodes in the rooms, opposition players took to Twitter to voice their shock and support.
"Speechless and really flat," Tiger forward Jack Riewoldt tweeted, adding: "Bloody disappointing."
