Addison hasn't played a senior game this season, but was named in the best for Williamstown in the VFL over the weekend.
With Goodes out serving a two-match ban for a high bump on Geelong's Josh Caddy, coach Brendan McCartney may turn to Addison for the trip West.
"Dylan gives us a bit of flexibility. He can play in different positions and he's a mature body, a big body," McCartney said on Thursday.
"He'll certainly come into calculations."
Even so, McCartney admits Goodes isn't happy about missing the game.
"He's disappointed that he got suspended and can't play," McCartney admitted.
"But he's a physical player. It's sort of funny, footy, that one step here or there you can go from what's a fair bump into a two week offence."
The Bulldogs will yet again field a relatively inexperienced side, with Ryan Griffen and Daniel Giansiracusa still unavailable, but the Dogs are going in with an open mind.
"West Coast have got their own challenges at the moment, McCartney said on Thursday.
"We also know we're playing a strong club, but we're going over optimistic.
"We're going to plan the same way we do, and take some young blokes over there that can run and use the space and see what we can achieve."
