We are looking for a person from either the health promotion or community development sector to join our Community Development team for a 12 month contract to cover the temporary leave of one of our team members.  The requirements of the role are 3 days per week, plus the ability to work each of our home match days.

Our Community Development programs are a catalyst for the Club to develop and nurture long-lasting and meaningful community partnerships.  Our community footprint includes a blend of philanthropic and charitable activities, school programs as well as a number of commercial partnerships.  Our programs are delivered across our Cats communities which while having a local focus, touch many parts of Australia.

Reporting to the GM Community Development, the role provides strategic advice and guidance on the most effective ways to acquire, build and cultivate long-term collaborative community relationships for the Club.  As part of a small team your focus will include community development and engagement, as well as recognising opportunities for the Club to work together with the corporate sector and with Federal, State and local government to develop future initiatives.

Given the strategic elements of this role, you will need to demonstrate a significant knowledge and a practical application of community development programs; preferably within a sporting environment. Above all, you will need to be adept at developing strong and lasting relationships across the Club and in your diverse network which is centred around the Geelong region.
