The Magpie pair has posted more joint 30-disposal performances than any other duo on record, and they were at it again in their side's win over Adelaide at the MCG on Friday night with Pendlebury earning the maximum 10 coaches' votes and Swan receiving five.
They have both received votes in five of the Pies' past six games, with Swan tallying 39 votes in that period and Pendlebury 35.
Pendlebury has leapt to second on the overall leaderboard, 11 votes behind Gary Ablett, while Swan is now equal 10th.
Sydney Swans duo Dan Hannebery (fourth) and Jarrad McVeigh (eighth) consolidated their positions in the top 10 after dominant efforts in their side's landslide win over Greater Western Sydney.
Another big mover is Hawthorn's star utility Jarryd Roughead. While constant speculation has centred on whether Lance Franklin will remain at the club or accept a huge offer elsewhere, Roughead has quietly gone about his business and become perhaps the Hawks' most valuable player.
He shares the lead in the Coleman Medal with West Coast spearhead Josh Kennedy on 47 goals, and is now ninth in the coaches' award after being deemed best-afield for the third time in his past four outings.
Geelong's frustration at the possible suspension of Steve Johnson was further exacerbated by the fact the brilliant Cat achieved a perfect 10 for his 38-possession game against Melbourne on Saturday. Johnson has polled votes in six of his 10 appearances this season.
Nathan Jones, was the only Demon to be recognised by the coaches, while Cats skipper Joel Selwood has risen to equal-sixth after getting eight votes.
Other notable features of the coaches' votes for round 16 included:
• Swingman Lachie Henderson, being adjudged second best-afield, behind teammate Kade Simpson, in Carlton's win over St Kilda.
• Jason Winderlich earning top rating from the coaches with a brilliant four-goal effort in a hard-fought win over the Western Bulldogs.
• Opposing forwards Chris Mayne (Fremantle) and Jack Darling (West Coast) being named the top two performers in the Western Derby.
• Brilliant Irishman Pearce Hanley continuing his superb season with the Brisbane Lions with seven votes in his side's barnstorming win over North Melbourne.
• Richmond tagger Daniel Jackson receiving votes for the third time in his past four games with a terrific tagging job on Ablett.
