SOMETIMES it is easy to work out what moves you should make to keep improving your AFL Fantasy Classic side week-to-week.
Whether it's trading an injured player or looking to upgrade/downgrade in order to generate cash, there is usually something that you can do that feels right.
Round two trades are often the trickiest.
In most cases we want to back in our selections, especially premiums, because you know, it has only been one week.
The same can be said for our sub-$200,000 players. Although, with only four scoring more than 50 points in round one, coaches have the opportunity to get in the cash cows that are likely to fatten up the quickest.
With weekly price movements, ejecting an underperforming first-year player like Brett Eddy (FWD, $150,000) who scored 17 points on debut for Mitch Hannan (FWD, $190,000) who scored 88 will cost you $30,000 more than this time last week.
Coaches with Nick Riewoldt (FWD, $659,000) may have a better opportunity than some to improve their team. They could trade him to a slightly cheaper premium and use the surplus funds to get that cash cow they’re missing.
Maybe it is a structure reshuffle by downgrading to someone like Will Hoskin-Elliott (FWD, $258,000) which can allow you to bank $401,000 on top of the injured Joel Smith (DEF, $150,000) in the backline.
At the end of the day, the team announcements will play a big part in what is the 'right' move to make.
The Traders will be chatting all things Fantasy from 6pm AEDT. Roy, Calvin and Warnie discuss the ins and outs, the best captaincy options and they’ll be taking your questions to help you ahead of round two.
REMINDER: Partial lockout will apply for the Richmond v Collingwood game this week. This means any Tigers or Magpies you have in your squad, or any trades you make involving those players will be locked in from 7.20pm AEDT, Thursday.
