The Box Hill Hawks after successive defeats against Werribee and Collingwood look to break the drought away from home this weekend against Casey Scorpions.
Sitting just above Box Hill on percentage, Casey after a bye in Round 5 come into the contest with fresh legs and self-belief after impressively beating Coburg Tigers by 42 points in Round 4.
Contributions shared evenly through Casey’s performances, the Hawks will have their hands full with Vice-Captain Alex Silvagni, Shane Valenti and forward Michael Newton who comes off a five goal haul.
Box Hill after comprehensively beaten by Collingwood at Visy Park comes into the contest with a clear mind and enthusiasm as both sides find themselves in similar positions.
Last season saw Box Hill Hawks winless at Round 6. Victory prevailed in Round 10 as the Hawks toppled Werribee Tigers by 8 points. Achievements already show the Hawks ahead of their form last season a credit to the side.
Last time these two sides played Box Hill in Round 16 2008 won by 33 points at Box Hill City Oval.
