AS THE Western Bulldogs and the Brisbane Lions prepare for Saturday’s NAB AFL Women’s Grand Final, three players from teams not in the big game have been nominated for the Coates Hire Goal of the Year.
Collingwood captain Steph Chiocci, Melbourne forward Aliesha Newman and Adelaide co-captain Erin Phillips are in line for the gong, which will be announced at the AFLW Awards in Melbourne on March 27. Phillips could win the award for the second consecutive season.
