THE WESTERN Bulldogs expect to find out which hub they'll be heading to by Friday afternoon, but coach Luke Beveridge says one or two players may weigh up whether they need to stay home instead.

Beveridge isn't sure which hub it will be, but Perth or the Gold Coast loom as the most likely options.

"By the end of the day we'll probably know where we're going," Beveridge said in Friday's press conference.

"The three locations are Perth, Sydney and probably the Gold Coast again. I'm not sure it'll be Sydney because we've played both the New South Wales teams."

The Dogs will support the players either way, but they could be left a little short-handed, with young fathers like Tom Liberatore, Mitch Wallis and Josh Bruce having to make some choices.

"I think we've got eight dads and the boys will make decisions on whether or not (they go to the hubs)," Beveridge said.

"We'd love to take everyone with us, we'll definitely take all the players, we're hoping to be able to take partners and young children if that's what the choice is."

The COVID-19 hotspots hit the Bulldogs pretty hard, with 10 people inside the club having to find alternative accommodation on Wednesday.

"I think we had seven players who had to move and three staff members. Most went and stayed with relatives – the staff," Beveridge said.

"The players moved to hotel rooms and 'Libba' (Tom Liberatore) with his young family stayed in an Airbnb and 'Jongy' (Lin Jong) with his pup, anyone with a pet had to move into an Airbnb."

The Dogs face an in-form North Melbourne outfit on Saturday, but without young star Aaron Naughton they will be hoping for a lift from recruit Bruce.

The former Saint has kicked just two goals in four games this year, but Beveridge has put it back on the umpires to officiate him in a different manner.

"We're really happy with the way he (Bruce) finished off last week's game under some duress when we were two men down," Beveridge said.

"One of the things we've got to continue to address is freedom with forwards and being held by jumpers and arms around.

"We don't send vision into the AFL, but Brucey's fighting through that."
