Port Adelaide will front the tribunal on Tuesday night to contest the one-game ban handed down to forward Damon White by the match review panel on Monday.

White was charged with charging Brendan Fevola during the third term of the Power’s win over Carlton on Saturday.

White was offered a reduced penalty should he wish to take an early guilty plea, but the reduction did not affect the number of games White would miss.

The incident was assessed by the match review panel as follows...

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), medium impact (two points) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction. He has an existing five-year good record, which reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 168.75 points and a one-match sanction.

The club and White will be arguing against one or more of those assessments when the tribunal sits this evening. White’s case will be the second one heard after Brisbane Lion Rhan Hooper which will get underway at 4.30pm (SA time).
