Last time they met
The Swans travelled to Skilled Stadium looking to defeat the undefeated Cats, who were without the services of Gary Ablett after an ankle injury sidelined the star midfielder.
The game started well for the Swans, who held the 2007 premiers to eleven points at quarter-time. A seven goal to three second quarter, led by Steve Johnson, ensured the Swans would have to be at their best in the second half.
Trailing by 28 points going into the third quarter, Adam Goodes (27 touches) and Ryan O’Keefe (25 disposals) tried to lead a comeback, but fell short.
Michael O’Loughlin’s three goals could not stop the Cats from steadying in the final term to kick five goals and win by 51 points.

About Ford V8 Supercars:
Since and including 2007, in each completed season of the V8 Supercars Championsip series, V8 Supercars Australia has planted sufficient trees to offset during the life of those trees all the racing and practice of the racing cars (Championship and Fujitsu Series) in Australia, Bahrain and New Zealand, as well as the transport to and from all Australian events.
In 2009, CSR Ethanol E85 was introduced as the official fuel used in the V8 Supercar Championship Series as well as the Fujitsu Development Series.
E85 emits approximately 50 per cent less carbon per litre than 100 per cent unleaded fuel.
For 2010, V8 Supercars has engaged external environmental experts to provide a more comprehensive sustainability audit, which will form the basis for V8 Supercars ongoing sustainability activities.
