> Watch Brad Dick speak to CTV in the rooms after the 66-point win against Melbourne at the MCG

Collingwood continued its winning momentum into the half-way mark of the season dominating Melbourne by 66-points on the Queen’s Birthday at the MCG.

The Magpies shot out of the gates with a seven goal to none blitz in the first term to set up the rest of the match.

Collingwood’s Brad Dick (16 disposals, five marks, five goals) was the main contributor for the Magpies on the scoreboard with a career-best five goals in his third straight game for the side.

“All the boys stuck at it.  It was a big game for Melbourne, one of its biggest of the year,” Dick told CTV in the rooms after the match.

“The boys came out and played well. That was one of our focus points to start well.  We dropped off in the second quarter but managed to play really well in the third and last (quarter).”

With the Demons managing to stem back the lead to five goals at the main break, the Magpies kicked eight of the next nine goals in pouring rain to run out as comfortable victors and boost their percentage by seven points to now sit fifth on the ladder.

“I didn’t really expect it to rain.  It goes to show the boys can play well in any type of weather.”

Dick, who underwent a knee reconstruction in the 2008 pre-season, has played five-senior games this year and is averaging 15 possessions and two goals a match.

“It’s good to be up there with Travis (Cloke) and Leon Davis.  There’s a lot of talent up there and it makes it enjoyable.

“We have a week off now and it will be good for the boys to have a break and freshen up to go up there against Sydney.”
