The North Melbourne Football Club can confirm that 22 year-old Liam Anthony will miss the next two months of ball work after suffering an injury to his left ring finger on the weekend when he accidentally bumped an uncovered glass lamp.

"This was an unfortunate incident and no one is to blame," Chief of Football Donald McDonald said.

"If there is a positive to come out of it, Liam will now be able to really concentrate on improving his running capacity, which was an area he was keen to work on ahead of the 2010 season."
