The Box Hill Hawks have begun their quest for the VFL premiership, with a promising lead up towards the 2010 VFL season.

The Hawks, led by skipper Steve Kenna, will open their season with a clash against the Werribee Tigers at Box Hill on Saturday 10 April, the match taking on extra significance as the two teams battle it out for the beyondblue Cup.

Away games against Geelong (a curtain-raiser for the Geelong-Port Adelaide match) and the traditional ANZAC Cup clash against Coburg, will be followed by the club’s first televised match against North Ballarat before matches against the Northern Bullants and Port Melbourne.

New Recruits
Box Hill have landed a trio of experience in preparation for the 2010 VFL Season with former Sydney Swan, Luke Ablett, Ex-Carlton rookie midfielder Ryan Jackson, and Frankston Captain Shaun Pollard all signing up with the Hawks.
