Football Technology Officer / Analyst

POSITION DETAILS:
The Sydney Swans are currently accepting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals in the position of Football Technology Officer / Analyst.
Reporting to the Football Technology Manager in the Clubs Football Department, this position will have prime responsibility for assisting with the facilitation and provision of all necessary vision, data and technical support required by the Football Department to effectively and efficiently evaluate and analyse team, individual and opposition performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide vision of matches and training - (includes capturing Sydney Swans matches, filming training sessions and managing the video database).
- Facilitate coach statistical needs.
- Provide general technology support - (includes upgrading computer hardware and software, maintaining and supervising audio/visual products and systems).
- Match day technology requirements - (includes attending all Sydney Swans matches and supporting the technology set-up, troubleshooting and coding the match using the Sportscode system).
- Recruiting - video data (includes processing and distributing the database of potential recruits and coding additional matches provided by the Recruiting Department).
- General data management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Knowledge and understanding of computers (predominately Apple Computers).
- Knowledge and understanding of audio visual products.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: - Sportscode analysis systems experience.
- Sport analysis experience (preferably within AFL).
- Knowledge and understanding of AFL.
THE RIGHT PERSON WILL BE: - Enthusiastic and highly motivated.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to demonstrate strong IT skills and performance analysis.
- Passionate about working in an elite sporting environment.
