A strong crowd of 25,054 turned up to see Port Adelaide beat the Kangaroos on Easter Sunday. Now Power players are calling on their fans to put the Port back into support, by buying a season ticket and filling AAMI Stadium for Saturday afternoon’s Showdown.

Jacob Surjan who was one of the Power’s best against the Roos, wants the fans to come along and see the team’s fast running brand of footy.

“We played our (brand of) footy, (it was) really exciting and it was great to have all the fans out there for the Easter weekend,” Surjan said at the club’s recovery session on Monday morning at Alberton.

“It’s been a great start to the year for us and our supporters. We hope a lot more season ticket holders can get on board and we can’t really ask for much more.”

As per the past 21 encounters between the Power and Crows, Saturday’s match will be a tough one to pick.

“I think we had eight guys out when we played them last year and we got up and won. We’re really looking forward to it. We’ve got a full strength team and hopefully Wazza (Warren Tredrea) will be back this week.” Surjan said.

With the likes of Shaun and Peter Burgoyne, Danyle Pearce and even himself running out of defence, Surjan suggests Power supporters can look forward to seeing the Power use its strongest asset against the Crows – pace!

“We’re a pretty quick team. That’s our strength and that’s what we’ve been working on. I think that will hopefully be the key,” he said.

The POWEREVOLUTION is in full swing both on and off the ground and now is the perfect time for fans to become members or season ticket holders.

An early benefit for becoming a season ticket holder is the fact you’ll secure a Showdown ticket for this weekend.

Season tickets, which get you a reserved seat to all 11 games, equate to the cost of just six daily tickets (based on standard terrace seating).

This week the Port Adelaide Football Club will unveil something big it has been working on for game day. It’s something that will get Power supporters revved up and ready to go at home matches. Look out for a preview of it from Tuesday afternoon.

To get on board with your season ticket, you can do it online here or call 1300 GO POWER. Daily tickets for Saturday’s Showdown are also still available to the general public via BASS.
