Matt was recruited from Claremont in the 2009 Rookie Draft (pick 19) and made his AFL debut in the round 6 Carlton Mid Derby against West Coast in 2009.
He went on to play 17 games in his debut season.
A tough and uncompromising competitor, Matt has been a mainstay in the side this season, playing a variety of team-orientated roles.
