Already considered one of the bargains of the 2008 draft, Liam Anthony was a shining light for North in the opening rounds of the season.

After averaging 23 possessions a game through the first six matches, tragedy struck for Anthony when he collided heavily with Collingwood's Travis Cloke and was forced to undergo a shoulder reconstruction.

There were hopes of a return late in the season for the former East Fremantle midfielder, but the club opted to play it safe and have him fit and firing for 2011.

AFL.com.au’s Steve Lavell says: "Looked ominous before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in round seven. Had continued to surprise with his ball-winning ability, with the side also missing his outside running. Has re-signed for two years."

Very happy to have him sign on the dotted line. He can play on the wing and really give us some run through the midfield too and get the ball into the forward 50. I predict a big season for him in 2011

Cam - September 7th
What a star 'Hollywood'averaging 23 possesions before injured.

Ben - September 7th
Absolute Gun. Sorely missed in the run home. Could have used his pace and finishing against Essendon. Win that and we are playing finals. Looking forward to next year. Go Roos 2011

Ash - September 7th
Yeah he looks really promising. Probably could have used this year a bit more to develop. I thing with him and Ziebell they'll probably go far. Especially with Swallow leading them.

i luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv liam anthony!! hes the best man!! go roos!! xx

Glenn - September 8th
Devastating to lose Anthony during the season. Along with Ziebs and Drewey, Anthony going down early was a big blow and the likely catalyst in the Roos falling short of the 8. Bring on 2011, I can't wait.

Suzi - September 8th
Another player who I rate highly. He's a tough nut as well. Saw him in the game against Melbourne where he went for the ball and collided into his teammate only to come back and play with a broken snozz.

Aaron - September 8th
Is going to be a star, I really belive if Anthony and Ziebell wern't injured, north would have played in september.

Adam - September 8th
He will be very important in 2011.Another player that can run through the middle and has good pace.
