Hawks midfielder Shaun Burgoyne will miss between 3-6 weeks having sustained a fracture to his jaw in Sunday’s VFL match against Geelong at Skilled Stadium.

Burgoyne left the field in the second quarter with bleeding from the mouth with a loose tooth following a head clash with Geelong’s Max Rooke. He returned to play for part of the third and fourth quarters.

A specialist today confirmed that the injury will sideline Burgoyne for at least 3 weeks.
