This year’s list of nominees contains Hawks players at the top of their game including Lance Franklin, Josh Gibson, Sam Mitchell, Luke Hodge and Isaac Smith.
The 40-man 2011 All Australian squad sees three Hawks selected for the first time in Grant Birchall, Josh Gibson and Sam Mitchell, with Lance Franklin selected for the third time.
The All Australian squad is chosen by selectors Andrew Demetriou (chairman), Adrian Anderson, Kevin Bartlett, Luke Darcy, Danny Frawley, Glen Jakovich, Leigh Matthews and Mark Ricciuto.
