The Melbourne Football Club wishes to advise that vice captain Cameron Bruce will miss the remainder of the 2009 season after injuring his right wrist.
Bruce injured his wrist in a collision during the final quarter of the Round 19 game against North Melbourne, with subsequent scans today confirming a fracture to the radius bone of this wrist.
It is anticipated that Bruce will make a full recovery, and will be able to commence pre-season training when Melbourne starts its Season 2010 campaign in October.
