Werribee St Thomas’ Anglican Church Annual Christmas Lighting Festival on December 7th.
The Werribee Outdoor Operation Festival (W.O.O.F.) is one of the many employment projects administered by the Western Bulldogs registered training arm - SpiritWest Services.
The W.O.O.F. project has provided outdoor maintenance to Werribee Support and Housing and assistance in setting up the up-coming Werribee St Thomas’ Anglican Church Annual Christmas Lighting Festival.
W.O.O.F. participants gained valuable work experience in gardening, building maintenance, construction and general handyman skills. In addition the program also allowed participants to develop their vocational skills, thus enhancing their employability. The W.O.O.F. project not only has given participants valuable work experience but has allowed them to be involved in bringing the community a true Christmas experience.
The Western Bulldogs mascot Woofer will be at the festival for opening night on the 7 December.
This is a ticketed event and tickets can be purchased at St Thomas’ Anglican Church.
The Christmas Lighting Festival will be open free to the public from 8-22 December nightly from 8pm – 11pm.
It is estimated that more than 12,000 members of the community will visit the Christmas Lighting Festival this year.
