Special guests included WAH ambassadors Caryn Clarkson, Tanya Croad and Margo Mitchell who all got in the spirit for the first WAH function in 2008.
WAH members and their guests were treated to inspirational stories from Cathy King, who recently conquered the Kokoda Track with the playing group and coaches.
The Kings are the host family to Hawk Max Bailey and Cathy was fortunate enough to walk the track with her husband, Jim and the team in December. Cathy shared her experiences with guests of the Season Launch accompanied by a photographic slide show. All would agree it was a highlight of the night.
Cathy then conducted an interview with Max allowing guests to get to know the big man a little better. Cathy then interviewed young Luke ‘Nesty’ McEntee before Max took the stage to interview new recruit Tim Walsh. A great opportunity for WAH members to get up close and personal with the players with forward Mitch Thorp also in attendance.
Guests got involved in the Hawks Baby photo competition where current players baby photos were displayed and guests had to guess who was who. This provided much entertainment and discussion! The winner walking away with a bottle of perfume for their efforts.
MBF announced their ongoing partnership with WAH for 2008 and Mira Newman, launched the corporate offer to all Hawks members allowing them a special rate
All WAH members walked away from the night with their Nutrimetics gift and their MBF Pedometer
