Living more sustainably is easy to do - and some very simple changes can make a big difference to the environment and the future. It doesn’t take much to reduce your impact on the environment

Over the next five weeks Andrew Swallow will share his tips for living more sustainably.

I have sealed the gaps around all my windows with draft strips and the door jams with weather strips which I got from the local hardware store.

I also keep the thermostat low (or off). By reducing the thermostat by one degree in the winter I can reduce energy costs and energy consumption by 10%. In the summer one degree warmer has the same savings.

By drawing the curtains and blinds and closing all the doors inside my house, I keep it warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
