North Melbourne took an unusual approach to training on Wednesday as it headed to the State Netball and Hockey Centre to prepare for Friday's match.
While the venue was a little out of the ordinary the players weren't about to swap footballs for hockey sticks, instead participating in a standard skills session as the cricket pitch at Arden Street was being removed.
Nathan Grima was quick to stamp his ambitions of a return to football by completing the entire session, while Drew Petrie and Brent Harvey should both come back into the side this week after being rested against Hawthorn.
