MELBOURNEfc has made three changes to its Round 14 team to take on the Lions at the MCG.

Emerging key defender Stefan Martin has been included and will make his debut for the Club when he takes the field on Sunday afternoon.

The 21 year-old was selected with the Club’s first round selection in the 2007 Pre-Season draft. At 198cm he is a mobile key defender, who has good awareness and reads the play well. Playing for Sandringham, Stefan has shown real promise and was the team’s best defender in a wet and windy contest against Port Melbourne over the weekend.

Elevated Rookie Shane Valenti also makes his return along with Simon Buckley, who has benefited from a solid stint working on his accountability in the VFL.

In an unfortunate blow to the team, co-captain James McDonald has been forced out of the clash with a groin injury.

Of the other ‘outs’, Jeff White has been omitted from the team and will look to find his form in the VFL, for Sandringham on the weekend. James Frawley has also been omitted.

The emergencies for the match are Jeff White, Nathan Carroll and Cale Morton.
