There’s nothing better than a rousing rendition of ‘Cheer Cheer’ following a Swans victory. Unfortunately 'Cheer Cheer' wasn’t heard after Sunday's thrilling draw against the Demons, however members of the Chicago Shakepeare Theatre have given the Swans a taste of what a tweaked version of the famous theme song might sound like.

Cast members of the acclaimed Funk it Up About Nothin' (an Ad-RAP-tation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing) were yesterday special guests of the Sydney Swans at the team's round one match against the Melbourne at the MCG.

Four members of the cast - GQ, JQ, Postell Pringle and Jackson Doran, have their own comedy rap group - The Retar Crew - which recorded a tribute song to the Sydney Swans titled Cheer, Cheer (Swan Song).

The group were invited by the Swans and the Drum Theatre Dandenong in Melbourne (where Funk it Up About Nothin' is playing March 29 - April 2) to perform their song at pre-game and post-game functions to hundreds of die-hard Swans supporters and to the players themselves.

Following the thrilling match, group member Jackson Doran said "We are totally hyped after that finish, it was incredible to see the intensity of the game first-hand, now we just have to find somewhere in Chicago that shows the Swans games on TV so we can continue supporting 'The Bloods' ".
