Swan Districts advanced to the preliminary final with a strong victory over West Perth in the WAFL first semi-final last weekend and a number of West Coast Eagles players set up the victory.
Forward Ashley Hansen was in outstanding touch with six goals, while Tony Notte, Adam Hunter and Nic Naitanui all contributed.
Ruckman Mark Seaby was West Perth’s best player.

Ashley Hansen
The dominant forward on the ground, he led strongly, took several good contested marks and he kicked well from the set shot - particularly given the windy conditions. Finished with six goals in a commanding performance.

Tony Notte
Notte played as a half forward and looked dangerous at times. He was clean with his ball use and he ran hard to present to his teammates.

Nic Naitanui
After starting the game as a deep forward he was moved into the ruck and had a good impact on the game. He was most efficient at centre bounces, before receiving a corked thigh in the opening minutes of the third quarter.

Adam Hunter
Struggled to work his way into the game in the first three quarters after copping a heavy knock to the face in the first minute of the first quarter. However his efforts and intensity were very important for Swans in the final term and he had a huge impact, applying pressure, taking several contested marks and helped seal the win for his team

Mark Seaby
The most effective and efficient player for West Perth. He had 18 possessions in the first half when his ball use and second efforts were good. He showed signs of a sore ankle during the third quarter, but battled through.
