THE Power was happy to host hundreds of South Australia’s junior surf life savers at the Power vs Brisbane game in Round 3 at AAMI Stadium.

Free tickets were up for grabs, in what was a “thank you” to Surf Life Saving clubs from across the state for the invaluable work they do on our beaches every summer. 16 of the state’s 18 clubs sent groups of members along for the day, in what will hopefully be the start of a great relationship between the Port Adelaide Football Club and Surf Life Saving SA (SLSSA).

The junior surf life savers, or “nippers” as they are known, visited the Planet Teal Zone before the game. It was here that they got to meet Power players, see the Power funk squad perform, and get lots of free giveaways.

SLSSA also sent along their massive Jet Rescue Boat along for everyone to have a look at. The Funk Squad and Thunda even got on board to see what all the fuss was about!

Another bonus for SLSSA was that they were recognised as the Power of Dreams official charity for the day, meaning its members could collect donations at entry gates into AAMI Stadium.

The Power were happy to hear that over $1000 was raised to help SLSSA continue the great work they do in keeping us all safe at the beach each and every summer.
