There aren’t too many attractions to look at on the drive from Sydney to Canberra but there’s no need when you’re watching the 2005 grand final in a stretch limousine.
Four lucky members of the Swans cheer squad were given the ultimate luxurious trip for the Sydney Swans’ round-ten clash with the Western Bulldogs in the nation’s capital.
Courteous of Swans Limousines, a sponsor, it was arranged for Kylie Stanmore, daughter Kirilee, sister Brooke Lister and fellow Swans cheer squad member Sharon Dockerill to take a limousine to the match.
Swans Limousines even picked up each passenger from their Sydney home, put on the Swans 2005 grand final on the way down and provided champagne on the way home.
Kylie said she had a fantastic weekend topped by her five-year-old daughter having a photo with her all-time Swans idol, Lewis Roberts-Thomson. Kirilee even took the photo to school to show her teacher and friends.
“It was really, really good. It’s hard for us to get to the Canberra game so it was a good opportunity to give to us and to meet Canberra cheer squad supporters was great, to see a different atmosphere,” Stanmore said.
“The fact they lost didn’t bother us, it was just good to be there in the first place.
“It was the first limousine trip for three us which was great.”
