SUMMARY

As they have done for much of the past decade, the Swans are defying their doubters. Last week's victory over West Coast in Perth was a particularly impressive effort, and elevated the Swans to third on the ladder.

That leaves them one spot adrift of the Cats, who are undefeated and also proving their many doubters wrong.

Chris Scott and John Longmire have enjoyed dream starts to their coaching careers, with both yet to experience a loss.

Geelong has a very good recent record against the Swans, but most of those wins have been at ANZ Stadium. This clash, which will take place at the SCG, could be a more congested affair, a situation that should favour the home side.

QUESTION MARKS

Can the Swans break their eight-match drought against the Cats? The Swans have only beaten Geelong once since the "Nick Davis" final in 2005.

Is Adam Goodes on track for a third Brownlow Medal? Goodes has been in brilliant form during the first three rounds, and Chris Scott will struggle to find a match-up for him when he plays in the midfield.

Are the Swans better at the SCG than at ANZ Stadium. Judging by recent results, the Swans certainly love playing at their smaller home ground.

PREDICTION: Geelong by eight points

TOYOTA AFL DREAM TEAM WATCH:
Jude Bolton has been a dominant force in the Swans' first three matches, averaging 115 points per round. Last weekend against the Eagles he laid an astonishing 19 tackles on his way to a score of 124.
